I want to volunteer, however I do not have a car and live in a rural environment, so there are no places I could walk to that are nearby.

What can I do?!

  1. Do you have internet access at home?  If so, you can volunteer online!  A great site to check out is http://www.networkforgood.org - they currently have 191 online volunteering assignments.

  2. Contact your nearest United Way or volunteer center and ask about volunteer things you can do from home.   Many groups have projects that can be done on the Internet other groups especially those that help older people need someone to make phone calls to check on frail senior citizens.  If the UW does not know of such a group ask local churches if they do.

  3. i say you should ride a bike or perhaps if ur in the rural area a little motorbike or scooter.

    or even a horse

  4. babysit

    clean your house/outside

    pick up trash!

    cook dinner for people

if you go to school regularly they'll have plenty more ideas
