I looked at volunteermatch.org and I'm starting to get interested in volunteering... I'd just like to know about any advice you might have or how I could go about fitting volunteer work into a schedule that has school & work.

  1. Hi Charlotte,

We're involved in many Renewable Energy, Self-Sustainability, RE-forestation and Animal Protection Projects. Currently we're working in Southern Mexico (Tulum), Central America (Roatan) and "may" have something this Summer in Peru.

For more info or passed projects pics and overviews go to www agua-luna com

You're welcome to join us either here on our 100% Self-Sufficient Ranch or abroad as a Sustainable Intern or Impact Team Volunteer.

In the meantime here’s some more info on our Internship Program…

We volunteer sustainable home building projects in needing countries, and offer an internship program where the interns can help out also, if you’re interested. Go to www agua-luna com if to find out more.

The Agua-Luna Internship program is open to anyone with an interest in sustainability / alternative energy and a willingness to work hard. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to sign up.

Internships are unpaid positions. Interns are responsible for providing their own accommodations, food, transportation, supplies, etc. or primitive camping and meals are available at no charge on-site.

During the session interns may attend any scheduled on-site workshops and seminars. Upon completion of the session interns receive a Certificate of Clean Green Building, and the new found skills of environmental construction.

Each session will start with a brief orientation meeting at the AguaLuna Visitors Center. This will include a small tour of the AguaLuna Ranch, projects and potential work sites, showing a few finished projects as well as the job site where you will show up for work at 9 am the next day.

Expect to be challenged physically and mentally, to work hard and play hard. Some have found it difficult to be away from their homes and jobs for a month. Please come prepared to support yourself for the entirety of your stay. Also, please keep in mind you will be working on a construction site.

I’d be willing to sponsor you personally, if you feel your up for it and it sounds like something you’d be interested in. feel free to visit the site for more info, you can contact me directly threw the site.

Hope this helped, feel free to contact me personally if you have any questions if you’d like assistance in making your first self sufficient steps, I’m willing to walk you step by step threw the process. I’ve written several how-to DIY guides available at  www agua-luna com on the subject. I also offer online and on-site workshops, seminars and internships to help others help the environment.

    Stop Global Warming!!!

  2. http://www.socyberty.com/Activism/First-... if you were to get your school friends in groups and get a salvage license so you could keep the treasures you find in this process, then get equiptment and get safe training and start extracting the sands of time that man has never touched forever and what you'll find your salvage license will allow you to keep everything and at the same time you'll be taking the first step in deleting Global Warming. also by moving the sand to the beaches and inward you'll stop the encroachment of seawater from taking more of our continent and if you can get other countries schools to do this also then each country will be expanding 25 feet of dry land that is now underwater.

  3. i have been an active volunteer with three groups and all at the same time. If you really wanna help you will be exhausted at the end but very happy. Knowing you made a difference is a drug of its own. I have gone to school worked and volunteered all in one week. Good luck in your venture and i would shake your hand and tell you in person what an honor it is to know another willing to give up their time to make a change.
