  1. depends on the location....mine is cats, dogs, and other farm type animals....I feed and water them, walk them for socialization, and teach them basic commands....I also clean up p**p and clear out their cages....I sometimes give out meds, but volunteers don't generally deal with putting animals down or treating the animals.....it's kinda like taking your own dog for a walk or playing with your own cat....only with 200+ dogs and cats vying for your attention.

  2. I did SPCA, I got to see how some people treated pets/farm animals. It did my heart good to be there and help...clean cages, walk, feed and bathe them all.The SPCA gladly accepts volunteers

  3. my options would be to find a pet rescue to start off with first, then go to a shelter, this way u will be able to decide and see the diffrence in both some pet rescues are in it for the money and the shelters just want to find a good home for pets you as a helper dont see much of what goes on you will be doing more with the animals then with the paperwork .
