Question:

Volunteering for wildlife programmes around the world?

I'm searching for any volunteer programmes for wildlife conservation such as animal rehabilitation and care.

Most of the programes I keep finding are for GAP year and they cost like £900/$1500 not including the £800$999 flight cost. My question is - Does anybody knows of a good wildlife volunteer programme, where they don't charge you so much just to participate or includes the price of the flight in the programe costs??? I'm planning in going this summer July until October. many thanks

  1. The VSO is practically free.

There are  a number of fully and partially funded organisations supporting students, as shown in the links.

  2. There are many affordable volunteering opportunities but unfortunately it can be difficult finding them. You will find what you are looking for on the following websites.

  3. try www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org

  4. Why do you want to volunteer for a wildlife around the world?

Many local wildlife trusts, animal rescue centres closer to home would welcome volunteer help, so perhaps its worth contacting them.
