Volunteering in guatemala?

I'm looking to volunteer in Guatemala later this year and was hoping someone knows something about it, preferably form experience. What kind of volunteering is needed? Where? How?

Beware,as there are currently many volunteer scams with outrageous placement/administration fees in Guatemala.

opportunities "anywhere" in Latin America.

the first answer should be

"guatemala is a tourist" country.

therefore, people want to learn english.  my friend worked as an administrator helping out the locals enroll in spansh classes and foreigners in english classes near antigua.  

angricultural development and the like is also popular.

of course places like the peace corps and mennenite christians along with some catholic organizations (the jesuits and marynoll) do a lot down there.
