Volunteering in my community?

Question

i really want to start doing some really good volunteering

but i dont know where to start or what to do !

i already voluenteer at a nursing home but i want to do something else.

I live in minnesota,

Try the hospital, food pantry, homeless shelter, pick one or two seniors in your neighborhood and offer to mow their grass, rake leaves, or babysit for a couple of hours for a single mother, take a friend or two and clean the trash at the local park, become a big sister, volunteer for habitat for humanity - they teach you the skills you will need, donate time to answer phones at the local pregnancy care center, teach a new skill to the kids at the boys and girls club - maybe a new game, chess, or abstract painting, or...THANKS FOR GIVING.

If you are looking for Ideas you can start at a church or hospital. They usually have phone numbers they can give you. A homeless shelter or soup kitchen.
