Volunteering in south america?

I want to spend a year volunteering in South America. I have a 1 year old daughter, is there any agency that allows you to volunteer with children?

you could check with VLA. i used them to find volunteer work and you can specify types of work and your status. whether they will have suitable work or not, i don't know

Red cross often do schemes.

However, if you dont wish to be affiliated with a certain 'cause' or religion, you may end up having to fund this yourself, atleast partially.
