Volunteering in the classroom - do you dress semiformal or casual?

If you volunteer on a regular basis in your elementary school kid's classroom, wondering what you wear to school? my wife will be Volunteering in our kids claasroom this year and she was woundering what to wear and was also Wondering what you wear to your kid's school when you volunteer in the classroom ? and which grade your kid is in, if you don't mind sharing that

  1. My elementry aged kid is 8 and in third grade.  I usually dress the same as when I go into work at the salon, which is "California Casual", this is usually a comfortable pair of jeans or pants and a blouse ( not cotton or t-shirt), just make surethe clothes don't have holes and you wear close toed shoes.  Remember everyone in the room is eye-level with your bottom and your not trying to catch a husband there.  :)  


  2. Something comfy but smart.

    I have 3 kids

    13yrs, 10yrs and 22months. if i went to the eldest school to help I would dress quite smart but not to authoritative.

    The middle one I would dress casual but not to laid back, they would be freaked out if I was in a  snappy black suit and spiky heels.

    my youngest has a toddler group I go nice and casual jeans usually or yoga pants,but a yummy mummy still
