Vonage Fax Filters?

Question

Because I have digital phone lines.. My fax is hit or miss.. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. My Lexmark troubleshooting guy told me to ask for a fax filter.. Does anyone know what this is and where I can get one?

a fax filter is usually used to keep the junk-spam a bay!!!

Plug in wall. First splitter: filtered side to second filter unfiltered to router. Second filter: filtered side to fax unfiltered to phone.
