Vonage customers:Is Vonage a good phone company?

I want to hook my home phone service up next year.I have been hearing so much about Vonage.I am interested.I would rather pay $25 a month than pay $30 or more for a home phone service. And I hear that Vonage has a bunch of features that are included at no extra charge and that even the long distance calling is fair.

So is Vonage as good as they say on the commercial and website?

  1. i have vonage, its a decent phone but the problem is at times, people complain they cant hear you. this has alot to do with the internet i believe. you may want to try magicjack.com, i heard they are good

  2. I have Vonage and am very pleased with both the service and the price.  I did alot of research before I decided to take the plunge.

If you already pay for high speed internet, I would suggest you switch to Vonage (or another VOIP service).  The downside is that you have no phone if there is a power or internet outage.  But nowadays everyone seems to have a cell phone, so that shouldn't be a problem.

There are loads of features that come with the package.  My favourites are:

    *included long distance

*my voice mail gets sent to my email address

    *online call logs

*my phone number goes with me if I move -- no fees for set up or disconnection

    *Caller ID

    *Call Forwarding

*a whole bunch of other stuff that I haven't tried using yet

I have Vonage and a Magic Jack -- my phone bill could not possibly be any lower!

If you do decide to go with Vonage, message me and I will send you a referral link.  If you use the link when you sign up for service, you will get 1 month free and a $50 Visa card (and I get the same for referring someone).  That's not the reason why I'm recommending Vonage -- I do really love the service.  We hated the service offered by our local phone provider which is why we switched to Vonage in the first place.  Getting a kickback for recommending a product that I love is just a bonus.

  3. I have heard good things about Vonage also.

I decided to go with another company though because they have unlimited calls to the UK, and the US Virgin Islands.  Go to

    www.digitalphonenow.com

VOIP service is usally very good and problems are typically with your internet provider.

    Good Luck with your decision.

  4. I have had Vonage for 4 years.... loved them. But cheaper still is this other company..love them too... I've included their link in case you were interested.

  5. I have Vonage and I have no problems with them whatsoever. You can cut your bill down to $20- a month by paying 1 year in advance.
