  1. Vonage really takes advantage of the ppl now....they just want your money....customer service sucks!!!

here is the latest again from vonage...no wonder....!!

NEW YORK (AP) - Nortel Networks Corp. ( NT) ( NT), the Canadian maker of telecom equipment, filed a lawsuit on Friday against Vonage - claiming that it violated nine patents related to Internet phone services and related features such as 911 and 411 calling and click to call.

Nortel spokesman Mohammed Nakhooda said the lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Delaware, countered claims made by Vonage that Nortel had violated three of its patents.

Vonage Holdings Corp. ( VG) ( VG), Holmdel, N.J., was dragged into the legal battle after it acquired three patents from Digital Packet Licensing last year, according to Vonage spokesman Charles Sahner.

DPL had filed a suit against Nortel in 2004 alleging violation of those three patents, so Vonage continued with the lawsuit.

"Litigation is ongoing, and both parties have filed - and will continue to file - papers supporting their case," Sahner said.

On the possibility of a settlement, he said: "We always prefer to settle disputes amicably whenever possible."

In this particular case, Vonage is pursuing the legal action, rather than getting sued. Sahner said Nortel's countersuit was a defensive move.

In October, Vonage settled the last of its lawsuits with the major U.S. telecom companies. Throughout the year, it had fended off legal actions by Verizon Communications Inc. ( VZ), AT&T Inc ( ATT), and Sprint Nextel Corp. ( S) Industry observers had written off the company in the summer as its legal problems mounted.

I would look for some othere VoIP provider, look what happend to Sunrocket....

  2. keep calling them, and document everything.  if you can, record your conversations with them, but make sure you inform them that you are recording the call.  then, if nothing is done, sue them.

  3. If it is bank account go to your bank and put stop on it.

If a credit card call or write them put stop to it.

I had to write a credid card to put stop on a company, that kept drawing money from the card after i told them to stop.

I got the money back from the time i told them i didn`t need there goods any more. Good luck to you.

  4. If you are using a credit card, tell them to put a block on Vonage. If they say no ask for a supervisor, and stay on the line until you get it resolved. You may be asked to document everything and put it in writing, so keep records of dates, times, and notes of what the conversation was about ro show that you have a timeline of all calls.

I had a major problem with Verizon that took me 6 mos. to straighten out, but in the end, I got a credit for every charge.

Keep records, and start calling Vonage and the credit card company every day until its fixed.

Vonage and Verizon are both horrible companies to deal with.

  5. Also, if they are not cooperating with you, as any good business should, report them to the Better Business Bureau.
