Vonage telephone -- Pros and cons??

all you need is high-speed Internet...either cabel...DSL...or clearwire(wifi/max-fixed)....that's all.....and I bet you already have that to run your computer....right!!!

   I can tell you that if you are planning to switch over to vonage and keep your number, it is going to take you 10 days. in the meantime, you will have a temporary number. this is just until we can say that we legally own and can use your transferred number. also, if you plan to purchase your device at a retail store, PLEASE register it on-line instead of signing up through sales because it will cause you a LOT of heartbreak in the end and you will not be able to use your retail device immediately. overall, it is great, being that Vonage is depending on your Internet connection, if your connection is good, your service will be.

here are the cons:

most of the time you can not get your ported phone number back, VoIP don't have to port the number, if they dint fell like it!

The cancellation fees are high!  and many ppl have tried to cancel for month and they keep charging you credit card!
