Swansea City goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 this summer, and Michael Laudrup is now the new face of the club.
The Welsh outfit have been in ominous form, since the Danish football legend took over the management of the club in June. So far, he has led his side to 3 wins and a draw in all professional competitions, and is yet to end up on the losing side.
Last season, the Swans made their debut in the Premier League and took everyone by the storm under Rodgers management. They finished the table at a remarkable eleventh-place, beating some of the best teams on their way and earned the plaudits of people from
across the board for their fluent passing football.
Consequently, they were being tagged as ‘Swanselona’ for the notable similarity in their playing style with that of the Spanish giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Rodgers exit from the Liberty Stadium was seen as a big blow for the Swans by many, keeping in view all his accomplishments and his close affinity with the entire squad.
However, the Dutch International has insisted that the Northern Irishman is now just a part of the club’s history. He felt that his team had developed even further under Laudrup’s supervision, and everyone at Swansea now talk about the Dane, instead of their
former manager.
“Everyone was doubting a bit because Brendan left but I don't think people talk about Brendan now - just http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup,” he told the reporters.
“His name is big and he is a legend. He was a former world star. He is now the manager and he is doing well so I don't think he is coming out of his house.”
One of the star performers for the Swans so far this season has been the newly signed midfielder, Michu. The Spanish International – brought into the squad as a replacement for Gylfi Sigurdsson – has netted 4 goals in his 3 appearances, and has already been
tipped by many to successfully fill in the shoes of the Icelandic International.
Vorm went on to praise the Spaniard for making an instant impact at Swansea, and believes that they are now a much improved side offensively.
“We are also creating more chances than last season and are more direct. We create more and score more and everyone is enjoying themselves,” he added.
