Los Che caretaker coach, Salvador Voro, has come out and said that things have been difficult at the club since the departure of former boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-c24899 Pellegrino.
The former coach has parted ways with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 on Saturday and since then Voro has been conducting training sessions while Ernesto Valverde was appointed on Monday.
The former Deportivo player has admitted that it has been a few challenging days for him and the players. He mentioned that they could not do anything different in just three days.
“It has been impossible to do anything different in these three days.”
The caretaker understands that he cannot change the whole system and strategy of the team in just few days. Therefore, he stated that he will not change the strategy of the team and will try to build on what is already there.
“You cannot, in two workouts, change overnight. The strategy will not change and in many ways we will continue in much the same way as we have done.”
The 49-year-old has commented on the current condition he is in and assured that it will only be for a short time. He fully understands the significance and timings involved in the current period.
“Circumstances have brought me to this situation. It will only be a short period, and it just so happens that it falls at the time of an important game.”
The Spaniard has also spoken on his involvement in the Spanish football for a long time. He recognizes the situation he is in. Despite his lack of options, Voro stated that his main priority is to guide Los Che and compete well against the French side Lille
OSC in the Champions League tonight.
“I have many years’ experience in football, but I recognize my role tomorrow is a bit different. I can't do much in three days, but I just want to guide the group and compete against Lille.”
Valencia have already qualified to the last-16 of the Champions League. However, their form in the Primera Division has fallen dramatically.
They have slipped to the bottom half of the table and are now sitting on the 12th position in La Liga.
