Voronin backs http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anatoliy-Tymoshchuk-c5539 to get more playing time than Zyryanov and Semak – Football News
Dynamo Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andriy-Voronin-c6020, has lavished praise on Anatoliy Tymoshchuk after insisting that the Ukrainian International is likely to get more playing time on the field
as compared to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergei-Semak-c32976 under Luciano Spalletti.
“He is a true professional and we can look at what he has achieved during his playing career. He can still play up to that level beyond any doubt. I don’t think that his growing age will trouble him on big scale.
Look at Semak and Zyryanov; they are still playing plenty of matches every season.
“I agree that you cannot compete with a 25-year-old when you are 34 but Tymoshchuk still have a lot of potential to outcast aged players from the starting line-ups. I think Spalletti can count on him,” the former
Dynamo Kyiv attacker was quoted as saying.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man said that Tymoshchuk made a right decision to return to Petrovsky stadium, saying that the 34-year-old can still help the St. Petersburg club in reclaiming the Russian Premier League
title in the near future.
Tymoshchuk returned to Zenit four years after leaving St. Petersburg club for Bayern Munich back in 2009. The Munich-based club reportedly paid 14 million Euro for the transfer of the prolific defensive midfielder.
During his time at Allianz Arena, Tymoshchuk managed to win two Bundesliga titles, DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup. Above all, the former Shakhtar Donetsk player succeeded in winning the UEFA Champions League trophy
with the German outfit.
Bavaria managed to defeat their arch rivals, Borussia Dortmund, 2-1 in the final of the European tournament at Wembley Stadium last month. Though Tymoshchuk failed to get into the playing eleven, he was named
on the bench by Jupp Heynckes.
Voronin, who returned to the Moscow-based club after spending a season long loan spell at Fortuna Dusseldorf, said that he is looking forward to the next season after a terrible last season.
The 33-year-old failed to find the back of the net in all competitions despite making 14 appearances for the German outfit last season.
