While I think that most people with the intelligence of a garden slug know that voting matters only in a similar way that a butterflies wing flap in the Amazon contributes to world weather patterns, that no matter who gets elected NOTHING can really change but that by voting we can effect the 'trend', we can shift the focus of debate and inevitable action. This is as it should be because democracy is a necessarily degenerate form of government that inevitably reduces itself to the lowest common denominator. Our country was designed and intended to be a Republic and it is the residue of Republic that has allowed us to last this long. As for me, I'll be voting Libertarian once again as a 'VOTE of NO CONFIDENCE' in the established order.

    Stop dreaming and restore the Republic: push to repeal the 17th Amendment!
