The Ajax Amsterdam midfielder has given his personal management charge to Mino Raiola, who is renowned for finishing transfer deals very quickly, from ‘Perfect Assist’ agency.
Ajax Amsterdam midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vurnon-Anita-c36486, has fuelled speculation over his move away from Amsterdam Arena this summer after changing his personal management from ‘Perfect Assist’ agency to appoint Mino Raiola his new representative.
The 23-year-old has long been linked with a move away from the Eredivisie champions before the start of the 2012/13 season, following his impressive performances for the Amsterdam giants for the past couple of seasons.
A host of clubs from the English Premier League have expressed keen interest in signing the talented midfielder, who can also play in a left-back role. However, the Amsterdammers have yet to receive any offer for the versatile midfielder.
The Dutch international has now left his personal management agency, ‘Perfect Assist’, in order to become the client of Raiola, who is renowned to finish up transfer deals very quickly.
Anita’s father has confirmed reports that his son has teamed up with Raiola.
“It is true that Vurnon departed at Perfect Assist. We have teamed up with Mino Raiola”, the midfielder’s father was quoted as saying to the media.
The Amsterdammers revealed earlier that they have offered the versatile midfielder, whose ongoing contract runs until the end of the 2013/14 season, a new and lucrative deal that will prolong his stay until the summer of 2015 at least.
Marc Overmars, the Ajax sporting director, admitted that his side does not intend to let go of their star performer in the ongoing summer transfer window.
“Ajax do not want to lose Vurnon. Therefore we have offered him a new deal until 2015 or 2016. The coaches are very clear and see Vurnon as an important first team player. We don't want to let go of him. He will become one of the top earners at Ajax with
his new contract”, Overmars was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
Anita, who has been plying his trade at Amsterdam Arena since making his debut in the 2005/06 campaign, has thus far made over 100 league appearances while wearing Ajax colours.
