Vvhats lovver in calories, tofu or chicken?

if i go to a chinese retaurant i vvant to kno vvhich one i vvould be better off ordering.

  1. Tofu.

    The quality of the chicken does depend on its source.

    In the UK we have recently got nutritianist research ( no axe to grind - independant meat-eating scientists sponsored by the government)

    Thier testing of chicken showed it was a completely different meat to 10 years ago. Many times more fat, far less nutritian. It wasn't because they are "pumped with water" to bulk the weight up - its because they are grown too fast with artificial foods.

    The free range tested a bit better, but it was marginal.

    Basically, the chicken industry is living off a past reputaion that "chicken is good for you".

    Maybe it was good in the 1040's when it was kept outdoors with natural grass foods, but not these days.

    The vast majority of chicken meat we find in grocery stores and restaurants comes from “broiler” chickens intensively confined on “factory farms.” Each year in the United States, more than 8 billion chickens are raised on these farms.  These chickens suffer both acute and chronic pain due to selective breeding, confinement, transportation, and slaughter.

  8. Tofu of course.  Depends on how they are cooked but most of all times tofu is lower in calories, tastier, and better. And you are better off order tofu anytime far millions of reasons.
