The former FIFA vice-president has urged the Moscow-based club to come good in the remaining matches of the Russian Premier League campaign.
As the race for UEFA Champions League places heats up, CSKA Moscow have dropped points in the latest round of Russian Premier League action by surrendering to a 2-0 defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg at Petrovsky stadium.
The Red-blues have had a nightmare start to the third league round, having claimed a poor 7 points in 7 outings. They have managed just a single victory in their last 10 matches, which incidentally came against Spartak Moscow 4
games prior.
As things stand, the Moscow-based club are at the fourth spot and trail the table-toppers by a whopping 14 points.
Vyacheslav Koloskov has lamented the situation, admitting that the Moscow-based club should blame themselves for the slump in form and urged the Russian outfit to win the remaining matches of the ongoing season.
The Koni’s latest defeat against Zenit has angered the supporters and rumours suggest that their star players are set to leave the Luzhniki stadium during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Army-men’s president, Yevgeni Giner, is well aware of the situation and if speculations are to be believed he is keeping tabs on former Zenit manager, d**k Advocaat, to replace Silkin.
CSKA, who had created a seven-point lead atop the league table until the end of the second league round, were leapfrogged by Zenit St during the third league round after the Armeytsy failed to find consistency in their performances.
“I see two reasons behind their failure. The first is an objective reason: a group of players have left, who are difficult to replace. The bench is short, and the reserve team players do not have enough quality to help the Koni.
"The second point is associated just with the technique. I have visited their training ground and the dressing room but there is a feeling that they lack confidence.” The Russian national was quoted as saying.
Koloskov revealed that the Red-blues need to work hard in the remaining matches of the season and predicted a decent finish for the Russian outfit.
