do they take out more taxes out of your check when you have no dependents marked on your W2??

If you are single with no dependants yes you will pay more taxes. The form that you probably filled out for your emplyer to determine how much tax will be deducted from your paycheck is Form W4, the Form W2 is your year end statement of earnings and is what you file with your income tax return.

You may want to review the W4 you have filled out with someone from your company.

It's W-4.  Yes, all other things being equal, you would have less tax withheld.

Yes, the lower the number of allowances claimed, the more they take out.
