The First Reich was the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation formed by Charlemagne in 800 and lasted until 1806 when Napoleon defeated the Austrians.

The Second Reich was the German Empire created by Bismarck in 1871 and lasting until the end of the First World War.

The Third Reich was Hitler's n**i Germany as has already been said.

The question is actually, "What WAS the Third Reich?"  

It was Germany during the period of time beginning on January 30, 1933, when Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany, and ending on VE Day, May 8, 1945, the date on which Germany surrendered, ending the war in Europe.  During this period, Germany was ruled by the National Socialist German Workers Party, known as the n**i Party.
