  1. It wasn't a fluke, in Warren Gatland you have a brilliant coach who can get the best out of his players and more, despite not having an absolute brilliant pack. Also Shaun Edwards did a brilliant job on your defence and I think if this 'revival' is to continue, he is a vital part of it. Let's just hope the players don't revolt this time and get him sacked.

  2. Good grief girl! You're giving all us female rugby supporters a bad name!! It was not a fluke (note the spelling) and Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards have got us on the right track after a disastrous World Cup. The big test will be against the Springboks in the summer, but as long as we put in a decent performance (not a 90 point thrashing!!) this will be a match to show what standard of rugby our magnificent Grand Slam/Triple Crown winning boys are now playing. Cymru am byth!!!

  3. It was no fluke, Wales were the only team to play consistently good Rugby.

Whether they'll have enough to beat the Southern Hemisphere teams is a different matter. I think they might beat Australia, but South Africa and New Zealand?  I really don't think so.

  4. Dysga sut i sillafu cyntaf !  Learn to spell first !

And yes they did deserve it and it wasn't a fluke they played rather well showed some encouraging signs which show signs of Improvement. They're defence and fitness has improved Immensely.

  5. Oh yes. Convincingly winning 5 consecutive games was a fluke.

You talk like a typical woman rugby fan who knows absolutely nothing about the game.

Your spelling isn't up to much either.

At the moment, nobody is saying that we will beat the likes of New Zealand, Australia and The Sprinboks but as champions of the six nations, we are best placed to give it a bloody good go.

  6. If you call winning 5 games, conceding only 2 tries, probably giving the selectors a headache on who the player of the tournament will be, a possible Welsh Lions captain and coach, a fluke, then stick to netball!

  7. A fluke???...they only conceded 2 tries in 5 matches!!!!

They have a young improving side...the South Africa tour will show us how far we have yet to go.

  8. No it was not a fluke and I think they deserved it. They had a great togetherness and a belief in themselves and that is why they beat the arrogant English who thinkthey only have to turn up to win. That result set them up for the rest of the tournament. There were a few good tries but the defence was outstanding and it's defences that win games. If they can maintain their form they have every chance of beating the Southern hemisphere teams. You would expect me to be welsh...but I'm English and living in Scotland and have always supported the Scots not the arrogant English!

  9. FLUKE? Grand slam title isn't a fluke, Wales were the best side by far this year.

Wales have won Grand Slam twice in 5 years - England (Ex world cup champions) haven't won it once in 5 years.

  10. Are you for real? Most of these players were in the 2005 winning side. Winning 5 games on the trot isn't a fluke.

    Learn to spell as well.

  11. Oh please! Get a reality check. It was no fluke. Wales had the drive, commitment, game plan and passion.

Who knows what future matches will bring but rest assured they will go into their games with the above.

    Now behave and be proud.

  12. Oh dear, you really don't know much about rugby do you.

Winning 5 games on the trot isn't a fluke.

Scotland weren't much opposition for them, but you can only beat the team put in front off you.

They won all 5 games and conceded 2 trys.

    Congratulations to Wales.

  13. Give them a chance. Our team played to the best of their ability and won the Grand Slam. They used a defensive ploy which worked and we have the services of excellent coaches. Let us hope the ploy will work against the teams from the Southern Hemisphere. IT WAS NO FLUKE.

  14. Punctuation and spelling, please!

  15. perhaps england gave up in their game against them, but it was up to wales to turn the game to their advatage.  which they did.  they deserved to win the grand slam because they played the most consistantly well.  can they beat a southern hemesphere team?  good question.  why not?  its always tough for nothern teams to beat the southern ones but i do think it becomes a bit of a mental complex.  there's so much to take into consideration with each match, whos injured, whos playing well, whos confident.  and i really believe confidence has alot to do with it.  the southern teams are always confident so they tend to come out on top more.

  16. We have won the Grand Slam twice in two years! How can you call winning 5 consecutive matches this year a fluke??!!! We played fantastic rugby and totally deserved  to win the Grand Slam. We now have a brilliant coaching team behind us so we will only get better and better!!!! You mark my words, give us 2 years and there will be no-one to touch us!!!!

  17. well i think that wales will have their work cut out to beat teams from the Southern Hemisphere but they do have a good manager in charge so we will have to see.

come on be realistic they weren't the best side in the tournament, no one was, though i wouldn't say it was a fluke.

  18. Teddy how can you say we wernt the best side in the tournament, clearly we were  as beat beat all teams and won.

But at least you didnt come out with the statement " Wales won because we didnt play well"

    If you beleive that then...........................

you were inconsistent and poor throughout because you couldnt cope with better teams.

i think wales could definatly have a good chance in the southern hem especialy against australia but southafrica could be abit of a problem, but' we;ll cross that when we come to it.

    peace

  19. well i suppose i can understand your disbelief as it has been a long time coming for Wales, but no, it was no fluke, it was good coaching and a great team spirit, and i hope you kick the ****ss of those southern hemisphere teams! ( English boy and an ardent league fan) i thought wales were very deserving of the title of grand slam winners and i can`t tell you enough about the stick i have taken as i am married to a Welsh girl! even the kids are talking about defecting, lol.

  20. was there saturday, best i ever seen them play.  fluke had **** all to do with it.  ranked 6 now,  springboks next out there and then autumn here.  as long as we can hold onto gatland and co and keep a coaching platform for more than 5 minutes things could be very good for wales.lets hope the wru don't **** this one up.

  21. Wash your mouth out gal!!!!
