WARNING re: Dog Toy?

Question

If you have or care about a dog, you have to read this story about a dog ball that won't be pulled the market despite it causing severe injuries and death. I would just about die if this happened to my girl, it looks so horrible and painful. I thought I'd pass this on to all of you here, as I know you all love your dogs and most likely buy them toys. This is one to watch out for, and warn others about.

I was in the pet section of Wal-Mart yesterday and saw two or three different toys that have the same problem. These companies seem to either not care or are just not doing the research to offer safe toys. As for Chai's case, I'd be worried about the choking hazzard of the bell inside as well.

What do you think would happen if we all emailed this link to our local news stations?  Do you think they could get the word out to all pet owners?  

I for one will never buy anything from four paws again.  To sit on this information for so many years because there were not enough reports is unforgivable.  One dog is too many.
