WAT'LL b the tax on a laptop if it is bought n brought from U.S. to INDIA in luggage?

LAPTOP COSTS $1000 AND MY UNCLE IS BRINGING IT WITH THEM. PLZ TELL ME WAT TYPE OF TAXES WE HAV 2 PAY N HOW MUCH.

if a traveller brings only ONE laptop, no taxes at all. One ladtop is allowed free of duty/taxes

If it is used and brought( if it were to be taken back while returning)for personal purposes, no customs will be levied and in case if it is brought for other purposes, that has to be declared, then it will attract customs duty as per the table.

check customs duty for second hand or used electronic goods with customs.
