I usually put Cream Cheese ,butter is good too. but you could make bagel pizzas by putting marinara sauce, cheese and toppings and melting it under the broiler.

You can use them instead of bread to make a sandwich--pretty much anything you like.  I also LOVE breakfast bagels with egg, ham/bacon, and cheese--yum!  I usually use turkey bacon and put it in the microwave, and also microwave the egg (just scramble it in a bowl, then microwave for about 45-60 seconds)--so fast and easy!

I also love them with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and a bit of red onion.  Sounds strange but so good!

if you literally mean on top of a bagel then you can put some cheese on it ad stick it in the oven for a minute.

if you mean inside then you can make it into a sandwich, use some deli... or you can use some peanut butter and jelly...
