  1. the ones that are 100% cotton because any other ones they put harmful chemicals to make you bleed more (so you'll buy more) why do you think they look so white? Just to give you a thought. :)

  2. There is no real difference exept the name and some say they feel different but i dont think they do.

    1) I always buy tampons because i feel cleaner and i think that when i'm walking around ect i feel like it wont leak.

    2) I have been sing tampons for 5 years or maybe longer now.

    3) I like the Meduim absobency or sometimes i get the largest mos absorbent ones for heavier days.

    4) I think te easiest way is to relax and if your having trouble then put your foot on the tiolet seat.

    5) Theyre not dangerous, ask her again and say you want to go swimming and need some or just go get some yourself because theyre not very expensive.

    6) I tried when i was 13/14. I was on holiday and didnt want to miss out on going swimming so  brought some and tried them and it felt fine straight away and i think thats because i kept calm.

    7) Yep.

    8) Just take deep breaths and dont dwell on what youre going to do and when you feel ready do it.

    9) I think you should wash your hands before and after. I think theyre great. They fit everyone, you need to relax. They cant get lost in you and tampax strings are sown on so this for sure wont happen. You should change them every 8 hours to stop infection although this is rare even after 8 hours.

    10) Maybe wet your v****a a bit and help it slide in and relax. Lock the bathroom door. Do it yourslef. Go slow. Dont be stressed.

  3. 1 - I like to use Carefree or Libra. I find that these sit in place more comfortably.

2 - The second time I got my period. (I started when I was 13)

3 - Tampax has really good absorbancy.

4 - With a leg up on the toilet seat, it has that angle so that they can just glide in!

5 - Your mom is right, my mom can no longer use tampons has she was unfortunate enough to catch TSS (toxic Shock Syndrome) If you want to try them, I would suggest buying them yourself to see how you like them. Most companies have a website with free starter kits so I would suggest looking on one of them

6 - I was 13, and I did it quite quickly for the first time, probably about 5 minutes trying to work it out, 1 to insert! LOL!

    7 - Yes it does

8 - Just breathe. If you panic about whats going on then it is going to tighten and make it really difficult to put in. Just look up, think about pushing it in and breathe.

9 - Uhh. Look up Tampax in google and it will tell you everything.

10 - Just not think about what you are doing, it helps heaps.

You will get used to it. Until then, good luck! :)

  4. tampons and pads are a waste, bad for the environment, and expensive.

Use a diva cup, its what i use.

  5. Just plain Tampax tampons come with cardboard applicators. Tampax Pearl tampons come with smooth, plastic applicators.

I use Tampax Pearl, because they're easier to insert (they really just slide right in) and they don't hurt like the ones with the rigid, cardboard applicators.

    I've been using tampons since I was 14. I'm 19 now.

The absorbency you need will depend on your flow. If you're having a very light day, a junior size tampon would probably work, but if you're having a heavy day, a super absorbency tampon might be what you need.

The easiest way to insert them, for me at least, is when I'm  sitting on the toilet. When you buy a box, there will be directions inside to show you how to insert them. All you have to do is relax and it should go right in.

I don't know what kind of tampons your mom is using, but tampons aren't dangerous at all unless you leave them in for over seven hours (which isn't sanitary - change your tampon often). Let her know that you're uncomfortable wearing pads and now that you've started your period, you should have a choice of what type of feminine products will work best for you. Not everyone is going to like the same type of products.
