WAshing machine condition?

Hi, my washing machine will fill with water but won't wash, spin, or drain.

What would the problem be? Will it be an easy fix? I'm thinking somehow it's not getting any power.

I'm not 100% sure it will fill again after it's drained. It basically filled up and died. So it may or may not fill again.

  1. google how to fix my washing machine

  2. Something plugged the water pump.

Water pump is connected to the motor and prevents it from spinning.

You need to take the washer apart, disconnect the pump, remove whatever stopping it from turning and pu everything back together.

It is not hard to do it yourself.

For step by step instructions visit the site bellow.

  3. Check the outlet to see if you electricity, if no electricity then it might be a breaker or GFI outlet tripped.

If your outlet has electricity then check the electric cord to the washer while it is unplugged.  Look for damage or burn marks.

If the cord is ok then the motor may be toasted.

  4. on the bottom of the machine there is a small square box, undo the box and see if the small fan is working, to do this make sure you unplug it, then get a screwdriver and twist the fan to see if it is free, if not then find the blockage, it is quite easy, dont force anything good luck.

  5. Try plugging a lamp or small appliance in the washing machine outlet to make sure it is powered.  If not check the breakers.  If you have power, go to:  http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_11_1.as...
