I know about the WD-40 web-site with its 2000 uses for WD-40. What I would like to know is what have some of you PERSONALLY used WD-40 for that worked. For example:

spray on bait for fishing - attracts fish (really!)

used it to clean burned on starch off of iron

of course (basic) used to stop squeaky hinges

Just looking for some new household ideas that worked for you.

Thank You

  1. Rusted bolt/nail.  Was able to unscrew it after the WD-40

  2. When we moved into our house the previous owners had those stick-on non-skid things in the tub.  I pulled them up, but it left a sticky residue.  I sprayed WD-40 on it, let it sit a few minutes, and it scrubbed right off!

  3. My husband uses it to clean the plastic parts (usually black plastic) on the car. It cleans and polishes it very well.

  4. there are 2000+ uses for this product.  when you have a moment, check out wd40.com.  very interesting stuff!
