I agree that Jack sounds better with your last name- they are both strong-sounding names and they go together.

As for the names themselves, I just like Jack better- it sounds better to my ears, and I can picture a forty year old named Jack better than I can picture a forty year old named Elijah. it's a stronger name, in my opinion.

I think Elijah sounds better than both Jack/Jackson. Jack Garrick is hard to say because of the ck/G and the two k's at the end sound a little awkward.

I love the name Elijah for a boy, it's so cute! Elijah Garrick sounds great together.

The 'JA' in Jack and the 'GA' in Garrick sound too similar and then they also both end in with a 'CK' sounds. I think it sounds like your trying to make them ryhme.

I've never really like the name Elijah...  Just never was my thing.

I actually really like the name Jack, but it sound SO much like Zach!  All his teachers will get it wrong, especially since Jake and Zach are such popular names these days.  Just thought I'd warn ya :)

oh i love Elijah...i'd love to call my next baby that(if its a boy), but my hubby doesn't like it. its much more unusual too...there are loads of jacks at my sons school.
