WE have 3 TVs w/ VERIZON FIOS. GUIDES WORKED THEN ONE STOPPED. ANYBODY HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT TO DO?

  1. Two ways

    1)  Unplug the power cord from back of STB for 60-90 secs.  This will reset the box.  You will see a bunch  codes flash on the front display, this is normal, it is the box receiving the newest downloads.  Your box is reset when you see the time on the STB.

    If this doesn't work

    2)  You will have to call Verizon and ask them to "zap" the box.  You will have to tell them what room it is in, and the serial number from the bottom of the box.  Then the service rep will send a signal from their office to your STB.  The only thing with that is if you have changed the parental pin, made a fav chan list or have anything bookmarked it will all be erased.  You will still see the different codes on the box, and it will be reset when you see the clock.


  2. Verizon and Comcast are the worst for this. Unfortunately, you have to take the tv box back into the main office and switch it out for another one. They tend to recycle boxes. This happened to one of ours when the time changed. One box changed and the other box didnt. Warning: if you have anything taped and saved on your box, you will lose it!!

  3. Oooh... I'm afraid you're going to have to replace that tv. It sounds like it has a bad motivator. You'll probably need to replace it with a large screen LCD.
