Alright as you all know april 12th will be a showdown of welter-weights supremacy.

First off Margarito vs Cintron. Alright this fight will be good, yes its true margarito did beat cintron already but cintron was under bad conditions he had an injured hand and didn't have emanuel in his corner as a trainer.

Since then cintron has won every fight by ko and has evolved as a fighter and is much underrated, I say cintron will win by ko if not ud, margarito wont be expecting much.

Now the main event Cotto vs. Gomez

really gomez has no chance in h**l. Gomez is much overrated, a flubbery body & is not so much a power puncher. He has never fought anyone like cotto. Gomez claims that cotto has a weak chin and that he will work HIS body. Good luck with that. All gomez has done was beat gatti who was already washed up n old

Cotto like always will cut off the ring and just dominate.

Cotto by ko no doubt, if Gomez gets his fat *** in shape it might go the distance

  1. I agree with pretty much everything that you have already stated man, the fact that Cintron is more determined than ever to beat Margarito and the high rewards that his success against him would bring afterwards will make him the favorite in my mind.  We got to remember that the winner between Cintron and Margarito WILL! be facing Cotto before he can move on and hopefully put enough pressure into Floyds promoters (If Cotto knocks one of them) to have a great card between Floyd and Cotto.  At that time there will be enogh PPV interest on the table!  The result of that fight though is something I really don't want to comment about ;)

  2. Im going with Cintron over Margarito. Cintron has won fights after he lost to Margarito. They were no name guy's. Margarito has lost since that fight. Margarito is a hard nose fighter but gets beat by average fighters. If Cintron can box, has a effective jab and can make Margarito eat it all night long. Margarito is a no defense brawler. Clottey had injured his arms and still lost a close decision with Margarito. Clottey was winning. With 5-L, he still haven't prove he's the most feared guy. Williams prove that.

Im not counting Gomez out but we believe Cotto is going to win. We sean upset in every sport. Gomez chances are not high. If Gomez thinks he's going to out brawl Cotto, he's crazy. He need to come in with a boxing attitude. Box, stay away, counter punch, effective jab, flush punches when safe and a dam good mental game. Gomez need to shave that fat off. He's kind of flobbbbbbbbbby. I dont have to say anything about Cotto because the odd's is not against him. We will have to wait until the bell ring.

  3. Margarito is still strong and he will be hungry for the title and shot at Cotto's title.  Many questions continue to circle around Cintron --not only regarding his hand, but also due to the bizzare moments he has had in the ring.  I think he will withstand Margarito early on, but will be physically and mentally worn by Margarito's steady pressure and power punching over the course of the fight, putting him increasingly at risk in the later rounds.  Margarito by UD or late TKO stoppage.

I like Gomez, but I see him as greatly outmatched vs Cotto and his relentless pressure and power punching.  I see Cotto wearing out Gomez's body as the fight progresses, particularly with the left hook.  Gomez doesn't have the stamina or experience to withstand this, and as a result I believe he will lose by TKO stoppage in or before round 10.  I still fear Cotto's chin places him at risk against anyone who by chance can land a freak shot, which will be Gomez's only hope.

  4. I like Cintron to get revenge in a split decision, and I like Cotto to win, but it will be tougher than everyone thinks, Gomez will put up a fight, but Cotto by TKO late.

  5. the two fights that are going to define the welterwieght division are the judah-mosely and cintron-margrito. cotto-gomez is not really a fight where two careers can be propelled. cotto beats him and gains nothing. cotto really needs mayweather, anyone else is just a waste of time. judah and mosely will be a good fight and the winner should get cintron-margarito winner with a showdown with cotto after that if cotto doesn't move up in weight or has a surprise defeat

  6. i think cintron is really gonna give margarito a tough fight. i think margo might get stuned a couple times but i still think margo will win by late stoppage.

everybody thinks gomez will be an easy win for cotto, i think gomez is game, i belive gomez will give cotto a hard fight but cotto winning by late stopage or decision

  7. A lot of good answers on her by a lot of smart boxing fans. I'll start with the main event. I think this is going to get ugly fast for Gomez, he has neither the speed or the power to compete with Cotto. I must admit I thought Cotto was over rated until I saw him against Judah. That was an impressive victory. he just kept the pressure on for all 11 rounds and it paid off. He is the best body puncher I've seen since Mickey Ward. Remember too, he did something Mayweather couldn't..Knock out Judah. I think this will be a easy fight for Cotto and then maybe the Mayweather and Cotto promoters can finally work out a catch weight for them to finally fight and see who really is the best fighter out there.

Now with Cintron vs. Margarito I think has the makings of a great fight. I think we'll see a different Citron who won't be as easy to hit as he was last time. Also he got cut real early last fight and it really affected him , and as mentioned before he did hurt his hand too. I don't think he can knock Margarito out, so I think in a action packed  close fight, Citron wins by decision.

  8. Cintron had problems with Feliciano (a journeyman) and claimed that he had a bad hand again.  so either the hand thing is a chronic injury or, simply put, he isn't that good.  either way, i have to go with a cautious margarito decision.

as far as the Cotto-Gomez fight, i'd put up the farm to say Cotto stops him inside of 7 rounds.
