WEird Text message--help?

Question

I just got a text from someone's email adress. I don't know who it is or how they have my number. It's kinda odd. It says " Featured SmallCap Company Global Agri-Med Tech-GAGO Don't miss out on this I P O"

should I be worried or something?? I have a verizon phone is their anyway for me to call verizon and have them block the number or is there something I can do in the meantime. I only received one text but I've never had someone text me who I didn't know and the text is a bit strange.

Its Spam... AKA junk... Its like an ad or bs c**p you get in your email "VIAGR@ buy now for 20% off"

maybe the person who texted you made a wrong number entry. he/she might be informing some other person regarding IPO of the stock for that company.

if you only received one message, it is likely that is a number mistake.
