Question:

WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY SPAYED CAT?

Ok. I got my my cat when she was 2 months old and we spayed her at 2 months old. Now she's 3 years old and she's acting funny. She'll squat like she's taking a p**s or a dump and she'll sit there for like 10 minutes than she'll get up and nothing is there. And just today she did the same thing but left behind a little drop of some watery looking blood. And she keeps running away from me. My brother says she's in "heat" but I looked that up and she's not meowing and she doesn't even wanna go outside. This started 2 days ago. She's not affectionate and hardly meows unless hungry. What wrong with her.

  1. It's worth a trip to the vet. She's not in heat. Probably a UTI.

  2. it could possible be a urinary tract infection, get her to a vet as soon as possible.

its normal for  an older cat to have some symptoms of heat after they've been fixed but since you did it so long ago at an early age that shouldn't be it .

  3. It is doubtful that after three years, having your cat spayed entirely too early is having any affect on her. It sounds like she has a Urinary Tract Infection, or possibly stones & a blockage. Either way it is very, very important that you have her checked out by a doctor right away. If it is a URI, it can wait until first thing in the morning, if she is blocked it is an emergecy, espically since it has been going on for two days. If she is blocked, her urine will begin to back up in her kidneys and begin poisoning her. This can lead to serious illness and even death. Get her in as soon as you can.

    Good luck and best wishes.

  4. bladder infection, needs to go to the vet

  5. she could have a urinary tract infection

take her to the vet soon

  6. Sounds like she has an urinary tract infection. My foster cat is currently on medication (Clavamox) for it. She would squat to go, but little to nothing would come out. What did come out, was bloody. Vet says it's Feline Cystitis.

She needs to go to a vet ASAP.

  7. Sounds like a bladder of kidney infection. My parents give their tom cats an eye dropper of lemon juice every month to add acid to the urine to prevent infections. When they need a squirt of lemon, they start acting like your cat - common in males by the way. ( no they DON'T like the lemon juice.) Bring her to a vet to make sure she's not too sick, ok?

  8. It sounds like a urinary or bladder infection. You will need to take her to the vet. Hope she is feeling better, soon.

  9. she has a urinary tract infection-classic symptoms. if she hasn't managed to pass urine today she needs a vet STRAIGHT AWAY as her bladder could be blocked-this is very serious and can kill in as little as 24-48 hours

  10. My first thought would be that she has a urinary tract infection.  I would get her into the vet asap- she needs medical care and then should be okay.

  11. First, you got her spayed way too early.  They can be spayed at ten weeks only.  That's only about six weeks.

Go take her to the vet.  I think this could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but your vet should know for sure.

    Go!  Now!

Good luck and I hope she gets better!!!
