Cox is excellent i know because my family has it we're really happy with them. we haven't had expierence ever with verizion

ive never heard of cox. but that doesnt mean they're worse.

look at the speed, volume per month and price.

try looking at DSLReports.com

All depends on if you go DSL or Cable or FIOS.  FIOS rocks (fiber to the house, and can run your phone, internet, tv, etc).  I've had Cox here where I am and it's good, I've had it in other towns and it stinks.

You must be in the south????  I know someone in Virginia who has Cox.  Up in NJ we have Cablevision internet and are very happy with it.  Their customer service is excellent, too (nice and around the clock).  I hear Verizon FIOS is very good but their customer service is completely awful (difficult to reach and very limited hours).

sorry. cox was ok for me.  but i would have switched if it wasnt a monopoly.  but they are way better than mediacom that i have now! hope that helps!

Depending.... If by Verizon you mean Verizon Fios, then Verizon is better, But if by Verizon you mean DSL, then Cox is better.

I have DSL and love it!  I used to have have cable, but it slowed as more and more people got it.  With DSL the speed is constant.  With cable, it can slow at peak times, at least mine did!  I am not going to name brands, just services!  If you have satellite it is supposed to be good too, except when it is poring rain!
