  1. From what most Panamanians like (I will give you their names, since finding the recipes are very easy!)

    Appetizers: We don't do this much, we are all about the main course! But a small chicken soup and name and squash, carrots and celery is good. Menudo is good, too.

    Drinks: Natural fruit juices and beer are well received. Actually, we all prefer soda. Beer is popular with adults, and one between bitter and sweet (not too sweet, but not too bitter). We also drink chicheme, which is where you leave rice out (washed) for a night and prepare it with corn and milk (look it up on Google). Very delicious!

    Desserts: Flan or arroz con leche (rice with milk and raisins, cinnamon if you want. If you want to spice it up, use coconut milk). Those are everyone's favorite and we all eat it!

    This is what I know from the parties I go to and gatherings, but like I said, we are all about the main course! Roast beef with onion, chicken, chicken soup, mondongo (think gumbo only saucier with pork), sancocho, steak, rice with chicken and vegetables, fried fish with fried plantains, fried yucca, etc.
