  1. Well, DNA is made up of repeating nucleotides.  The DNA in one of your chromosomes is made up of thousands of nucleotides strung together.

    A chromosome is made up of DNA wrapped around proteins.

    A gene is a segment of DNA that codes for a characteristic.  So, while DNA might be very very long, a gene is a specific sequence of that DNA that codes for something.

    DNA will contain many genes.


  2. Umm, well, there really aren't examples to give. It's just that DNA is a molecule deoxyribose nucleic acid, and it is the molecules of DNA that are the building blocks for genes.
