  2. well when its high theres less traffic, and less money in your pocket and food prices and the price of everything else is threw the roof,i guess theres less polution because people who r poor cant go anywhere, basically,it suks

  3. Pros:

With higher gas prices, there are less teens driving on the road, so there are 1,000 less accidents every month.

There's less traffic and congestion and pollution.

The oil companies make more money.

    Cons:

It's taking a toll on low income and middle class people.

Lots of business's on going out of business, because they can't afford the gas.

Less 18 wheeler trucks are on the road, so things at the store are more expensive.

With higher gas prices people have to give up their cars and ride public transportation.

With higher food and gas prices people aren't buying as many luxuries as they once were, so business's go out of business and those who get paid at that job are laid off and they can't support their families or themselves. It's a bad cycle and unfortunately our economy is going down. :(

    Interesting question.

  4. I feel like I have been to the PROctologist everytime I go to the gas pump.  Thanks alot, neoCONS.

  5. Pro's - forcing people to re-examine many different factors in their lives:

    - how they drive

    - how far they commute

    - how much they pay for a vehicle/what they drive

    - has people thinking about shopping/vacationing more locally

less accidents, more people learning about the benefits of public transit.  Also making people learn to budget more.

    - Cons

Increased prices of things like food that is hard to grow locally.  Affecting the housing market, some people in exurbs and far out towns unable to sell their houses.
