Pros:  beauty, culinary, travel, relaxation, culture, cheap products

Cons: time and length of travel, very weak government and law, poverty, burglars, overcrowding

Pros, you get to travel to a fascinating country with a centuries old culture, friendly people and beautiful scenery. The prices are often lower than for similar accommodations in the US.  

Cons, depending on the area, heat and bugs

I've been to Mexico 4 times of vacation.

Pros, the people are very helpful, courteous and friendly.  The culture, history, scenery, weather and cheap good food.  The fishing is great also.  You can usually find someone who speaks English if you don't know Spanish.

Cons - only 1 - the timeshare sales people are ridiculous and they are everywhere.
