WHAT CAN I DO 2 FIND WORK?? TRUCK DRIVER CLASS A

I have a bad DAC report and i want 2 get back in2 the field "PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVER " I have a class A cdl and when i go 2 apply at different companies online i.m getting rejected the reason being i refused a p**s test like 5 years ago.but DAC is relentless I know their doing their job but its not like i killed some1 .not 2 mention i,m a different person than i was 5 years ago i have a mortage 2 pay and may lose my home because of this, a friend of mine said 2 find a owner operator and possibly work 4 them but i dont know any and i'm not getting any response from ads i put out there.SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!

Have you thought about owning your own truck? The used truck market is soft right now and you can get a good used truck cheap. Of course you will have the burden of the insurance, maintenance and truck payment, but it shouldn't be to hard to find a company that you could lease to.

Having a bad DAC report is strike one.  The fact that you refused a drug/alcohol test is no different than testing positive... strike two.  While you may be able to find an O/O to work with you, their insurance company may deem you too expensive to insure, or the company they are working for may refuse you.  You may even be refused by customs if you are being sent across the border.  Best advice I can give you is to find some other employment until such time as your DAC is clear, and then try to re-enter the field.
