If the guy is interested in you...you won't need to empress him or win him over...it will just happen naturally.  If he's interested in the other girl...my suggestion to you would be to just leave him alone.

There are a lot of guys that want you to actually "fight" for them.

You don't need to do that.

Be the girl he can come back to and talk to whenever he has a problem, or if he just wants to chat. Don't ever let your emotions take over a friendship.

Be his friend first, and the other stuff will come later. He'll see it. :)
