As to the never ending - Arsenal should not have got rid of Diarra, Arsenal didn't get rid of him, he wasn't 1st team regular which he wanted, and wanted to go to where he could play 1st team football. Arsene, very reluctantly, let him go rather than risk an unhappy player bringing down team spirit

As to who we should sign, I think Yaya Toure or Frings would be good additions.

I would like to try Barry but he is overpriced, Alonso has the experience we so badly need.

Barry and Alonso are not the same as Flamini-A player who does all the dirty work etc. I think you were mad to sell Diarra because he is a direct replacement for him. Also I really rate Alex Song-He can pass, tackle and run all day too and would be a great foil for Cesc.

Nevertheless you need to bring in another midfielder. I have already said on here you should sign Stephen Appiah. He is available on a free, Is a leader, and a quality player.

Also I think you should maybe go back and resign Diarra. I don't wish to speculate but I am sure Wenger put in a 'buy-back' agreement in the negiotiations with Portsmouth.

I would love to see him play alongside Gareth Barry but Wenger isn't going to pay that much for him. I wouldn't mind seeing Xabi Alonso come into the side as I can see him and Cesc playing well in the midfield together (Both Spanish etc.). Cesc has explained to Wenger he would love to play alongside Alonso. If Alonso did come to Arsenal, I feel it would help us. To be honest I don't think Wenger is going to make anymore transfers, which is a shame because to me I think we need someone like Flamini to come into the side if we have any chances of winning the league or any other trophy.
