WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE A THERAPIST?

I'm a young woman wanting to be a therapist , the kind that listens to their clients and gives them advice. What is it going to take to become one? What am i going to major in?

That's what I'm doing.

I went to a community college and took general studies and got my Associate's Degree.

I'm currently in the Psychology program at a 4-year college to get my bachelor's degree.

From there you can get your Masters, and move on if you choose to.

A lot of businesses will pay for your education if you agree to work with them for so many years and sign a contract saying so.

(like a mental institution that you know of...ask them about education and career opportunities).
