WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY PS3 ONLINE GAMING?

What do i need to do? what do i need?

You will need:

a modem or a wireless internet connection

a PS3 (the cords that connect it to a modem is in the package)

a game with online capabilities like Call of Duty or Grand theft auto.    (just look on the back of the box it should say if it can go online or not)

To connect to the internet you have to go to System then down to Internet Connection. Enter your key if you are wireless or just press connect if it's directly connected to modem.

All of the directions are in the manual if you need detail step-by-step. I don't feel like searching for mine. Do anybody read the manual?

depeneds on what kind of conection you want if you want the wired conection you need an ethernet cable connected to your router for wireless you need a 4 port router then go to network in the settings look for internet conection select it then your going to chose wired or wireless its your choice then scan look for the name you set and if u got a 2wire it will say 2wire232 select it then its going to ask you for the secrutiy select wep next your going to have to put the wep key which is on the bottom of your router te rest you have to put in on your own you need to call your internet company for the rest then test the conection you get a list of things and they all sould say succed except for the last two then you have to make your online account then fell free to play online with friends

U need a wireless router so that your ps3 can connect to it. their is a built in wireless thing in your ps3 so it should connect to your internet providing you it has something to connect to.
