Nappy hair is a bad thing. It means very dry kinda sandy feeling hair. It's usually very frizzy and many african americans have this type of hair.

It has nothing to do with the colour and it looks very stiff, not very shiny hair. [though it can be]

Of course! Cos I said many african americans have this hair, I get thumbs downs or maybe its cos im a boy and i wanna be a cosmetologist, you people are lame.

It can mean really curly hair, but some people also use it to describe pubic hair. Did you watch the movie 'Super Size Me'? He found a 'nappy hair', in one of his Mcdonalds.

I REALLY FOUND THIS TO BE FUNNY. WHY, BECAUSE I HAVE NAPPY HAIR. WELL, I HAD NAPPY HAIR UNTIL YESTERDAY WHEN I RELAXED IT. NOW I HAVE TO WORK ON NOT GETTING IT WET OR IT WILL GET NAPPY AGAIN MUCH QUICKER. YOU SEE, SOME PEOPLE, NOT JUST AFRICAN AMERICAN HAVE NAPPY HAIR. JESUS HAD IT TOO. NAPPY HAIR IS DRIED OUT HAIR.I HAVE TO OIL, RELAX OR STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR TO MAKE IT MANAGEABLE. YOU WASH THE OIL OUT OF YOUR HAIR. AND YOU`LL HARDLY EVER SEE A NAPPY HAIR TYPE PERSON IN A POOL OR STANDING IN THE RAIN. WATER WASHES OUT THE OIL NEEDED TO KEEP OUR HAIR FROM BEING NAPPY. A COMEDIAN JOKED ABOUT A NAPPY HAIRED LADY IN THE BIBLE. SHE WAS PART OF THE GROUP THAT MOSSES LED ACROSS THE RED SEA. SHE JOKED THAT THE BLACK LADY TOLD MOSSES SHE COULD NOT CROSS THE SEA BECAUSE HER HAIR WOULD GET WET. SO MOSES PARTED IT SO SHE COULD CROSS WITH THEM. WE HAVE WAYS OF WASHING AND KEEPING IT CLEAN.

nappy=rough, messy, tough to manage, tough to comb, how your hair looks like after having s*x or when you wake up...I think it's ugly.  My dog gets nappy hair if I don't brush it often.
