  1. Original Equipment Manufacturer.


  2. There is OEM windows software and retail Windows software.  The difference is a lot of money.  Also with an OEM version of Window it is only for that computer, it is locked into the motherboard.  You cannot load it into another machine and get all the updates.  It will not happen.  Now the Resale Version, when you are through with a computer, you can load that software on another machine.  You cannot use it one more than one machine at a time.

    In conclusion OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer, the software is strictly for the machine in which you originally loaded it on.

  3. it means ORIGINAL EQUIPTMENT MANUFACTURER, probably signifies that u can only use the operating system on your pc only.

  4. that means that the os u are using is licensed to the manufacturer of ur computer, IBM.

  5. Original Equipment Manufacturer. It is a rights obtained by computer manufacturer from Microsoft to sell XP or Vista etc

  6. really nothing it just mean that the software if not in a fancy box.
