Gents, I remember watching this ending as a kid about 13 years ago. It struck me as a good ending in one of the greatest cartoons series ever, Batman (1994).

*Things to note:

A. At 0:28, note how The Batman's excellent recovery after being asphyxiated gracefully implants the importance of physical conditioning in a boy who is watching the cartoon. Also note at 0:28 Batman's cat-like grace when he gets up and the way his face and stance are portrayed. The music used serves all this perfectly.

B. Notice the music at 0:43 and how it complements the ushering in of Clayface's reaction when he sees images of himself appearing. From a battle-oriented atmosphere 10 seconds before, the mood is beautifully led and established to being one of poignancy.

C. Note at 0:52 how Batman's cape cloaks him, thus signifying his change from attack mode to stealth mode. The latter is also used by him when approaching to help someone.

  1. Just as with most matters consistent with natural order, post-modern feminism (or Radical Feminism), whichever term is most appealing, has irrevocably decimated most of the splendors of the modern era.

Tragically, few seem to grasp the gravity of this egregious threat to civilized Western society.  The ultimate result, in my opinion, will be decadence, feminization of boys and the perpetuation of the belief amongst young men that they are "defective" by virtue of having been born a male, and lead to higher rates of self-destructive behaviour and/or suicidality, and ultimately lead to the systematic eradication of men and all those who are in disagreement with the ideology of post-modern feminism.

  2. Radical feminism has affected cartoons and all aspects of media.

American TV is full of examples where men are portrayed as buffoons. Cartoons have been reworked to show men/boys as simple.

  3. I used to think like this when I read boy's comics in the 1970s. I'm a man now and I think differently.

Try shaking off your infatuation with your childhood, this impedes the transition from boyhood to manhood more than anything else.

  4. What has happened with comics and on TV has nothing to do with feminism since both are controlled and produced predominately by men. Not only that, but most comics and TV shows are written by men, too. Take it up with them. If some of you don't like how a male character is a buffoon, remember that this is a formula that has worked for over 50 years. You may not like it but a lot of people do. That's why it keeps on getting used.

  5. Radical feminism has had little effect other than inspiring a few radical feminists to creat comics and cartoons.  Radical politics generally don't impact mainstream culture except as a scare tactic. (The reds are coming! etc.)

Mainstream feminism has inspired women and men to believe that female characters can take a variety of forms, from vixen to hard-nosed heroine, and male characters may have a wide range of emotional depth-- basically that male and female characters have a blend of "masculine and feminine" characteristics and need not be characteratures of gender and s*x stereotypes/archetypes.

It has also prompted men and women to respect female contributions to cartooning and comic culture.
