  1. you learn about the science of life or living matter in all its forms and phenomena, esp. with reference to origin, growth, reproduction, structure, and behavior

  2. My bio class had two parts.  Part 1-go to lecture 4 days a week and learn the textbook stuff.

Part 2-go to lab 2 days a week and perform experiments, dissect things, etc.  All hands-on stuff.

  3. It depends on what bio you have. There's baby bio which is the nickname nursing students give to the regular bio courses and the advanced bio that nursing stdents go into because it deals more with human systems.

Regular college bio is almost the same thing as high school bio only more in depth and at a faster pace. You'll probably have to take a lab too. Lab is less jokey jokey than what you may have experienced in high school. colleges have more resources and can afford more high tech gadgets.

Either way always do the readings even if your professor doesn't assign homework. You'll be surprised on how quickly these Ph.Ds can breeze through the book. Fortunately I passed with a B. Some interesting things I learned about were how aids develops, sickle cell traits, and cancer. I've always heard about them but never had I known how they develop

    Hope I helped:)

  4. Look at girls.  Its fun.
