  1. Here is my answer to your other question.

My assumption is that they aren't abandoned at all, but are just on their own. Parents will force their young out of the nest to teach them how to forage for food and how to fly. Just leave them where they are; please dont' take them inside or do anything foolish, like trying to toss them up in the air to get them to fly (yes, it has happened before). If you are still worried, move them to a sheltered spot, such as under a bush or in the woods where the parents can find them.

I can promise you that they are fine; alot of times people will take in birds, thinking that they are helping them, but are really causing more injury than harm. Please leave them where they are; even if you see a cat, the parents will take care of the problem (robins are known for attacking golden eagles; surely they can take on cats as well!).

Rest assured, they are fine. If you are still worried, keep an eye on them. But leave the area, because the parents won't want to return if there are humans in the area.

  2. if you go to a local pet shop and tell them that you need baby bird food, it comes in a box and you mix it with water. the box of food will last forever and is only about $5. you also need toget a dropper or something of that sence to put it int the babies mouths.... i had a bird that i took care of unitl it flew off 3 weeks later! good luck!

  3. STAY AWAY FROM BREAD!!! bleached flour, salt, msg, and all sorts of preservatives are in it, and that is as good as poison to a tiny bird. adult birds eat bread crumbs, key word, crumbs, usually stale bread we give them. all too many people give tiny birds fresh bread, right from the centre of the slice. the crusts have been exposes and chemicals aerated.oatmeal usually has no additives, take from the centre as preservatives are added to package material. do you have baby food or pet food? try that, it's fairly safe and birds like it .

  4. get some worms then mash them up until it's like a paste then pour equal amounts of the mashed up worms

  5. check these sites out they should be really helpful, as for the foot, i would contact an avian vet, they should know more about the foot and feeding and advise you more on the situation GOOD LUCK!

  6. Eat some worms then regergetate them and feed it to them with ur mouth. lol. no they should be able to eat worms though.

  7. temporary solution that works well from past experience: crush up dog food really fine, mix in water then feed about every half hour until you can take it to a wildlife conservation place.

  8. As other people have said they are NOT abandoned.  Put them back.  People who take birds in like that have taken them away from their parents.  They have to be able to feed them every 10-15 minutes 12hrs a day and even then the chance of them dying is more than 50% possible

  9. Just answered your other question.   These are most likely NOT abandoned.  You can not feed them they will not take any food from you.  Please put them back where you found them.  I can tell you are concerned and mean well but you will only wind up with dead birds if you don't let them be.

  10. i read on here that you can go and buy baby bird food, like replacer,I think at like wal*mart and stuff....im not sure though

  11. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.   You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it.  If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest.  Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched.  If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival.  Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.  Look for a rehab here:

  12. Go to the market who sell bird's food and purchase baby bird's food or you can give it soft food.
