heya,

this question might seem a little odd so please don't leave rude answers or snide comments.

i'm 14 and i am quite musical and i live in the uk. i'm learning:

piano - grade 8/working on diploma

flute - grade 8/working on diploma

and i can play-

saxaphone - grade 5

organ - grade 4

teaching myself guitar

now, i don't get me wrong. i'm not some loser who has no friends or no life. i manage to fit everything into my busy life and i'm quite a good all rounder

i also play in an orchestra.

however, i've been wondering whether there were any decent careers in music?? i know, i'm only 14 so its very early to be thinking about my career but i was only wandering. people often say that music is a very hard career to be in as it is very tough.

what good careers are there apart from being a music teacher (which i'm not too keen on) ????

thank you very much...

ashley

  1. You can be a recording studio back up player, music producer, music manager, learn the audio production side of recording music, record your music for radio commercials, tv commercials, and seminars, join a professional symphony orchestra, music teacher, and more.

  2. I will be going to college for music production.  I've found that there a tons of jobs in the music industry.  Being a musician, producer (that's what I'm doing), engineer, manager...the list goes on and on.  There are many other jobs within those I mentioned.  If you have question, you can email me.
