  1. It's the newest expense in video audio cables. Instead of separate cables for audio and video it can carry the whole signal in one cable not up to 5 different ones.

    HDMI stands for "High-Definition Multimedia Interface" and basically refers to the the digital cables used to carry HD content, instead of the analogue SCART cables.

  3. HDMI is high definition mutimedia interface. It can support up to 1080P resolutin, and 7.1 channels of audio I think(maybe 9.1). Most recievers have a HDMI input which means it will support HD audio. Most recievers also have the ability to run a HDMI DVD player through them to ur TV so you will have everything running through the reciever.
